David Newby works as an organizational development consultant to clients in the social sector around the world. His clients include some of the biggest NGOs in the world including World Vision and UNICEF whilst locally he has worked with NGOs such as Habitat for Humanity, RIATT and ELRU. David has worked extensively in education in the Western Cape the East Metropole District, Rustenburg Girls High School and Groote Schuur High School. He also lectures at USB Executive Development (USB-ED), the public executive development company within the University of Stellenbosch Business School (USB) where he presents courses for leaders of NPOs. He serves as the Managing Trustee of SEED.

Mike Kane is a Chartered Accountant and has been appointed as Chairperson of SEED Trust. Mike is currently the Managing Partner responsible for Ernst & Young’s Business Advisory Services. This business employs over 80 people and provides management advisory services to large corporates and the public sector. Previously as Operations Director of CS Systems Integration, a company of over 200 management consultants, he was ultimately responsible for delivery on all consulting assignments undertaken by the company. Mike has 15 years of consulting experience primarily in the Energy, Financial Services and Health Care industries with a focus on Strategy, Finance and Performance Measurement. He has extensive experience in programme management of large multi disciplinary assignments.

Dr Arnold Smit is the Executive of the Centre for Business and Society at the University of Stellenbosch Business School. The centre builds capacity for responsible leadership and sustainable development in the private and social sector. Previously Arnold was a minister at Fontainebleau Community Church, Head of People Division at Channel Life, part-time lecturer in Theology at the universities of Stellenbosch, Pretoria and Vista as well as an independent consultant. Specialising in change management, leadership development and corporate responsibility, he has worked with a variety of organisations from different sectors, written and contributed to a number of books and articles, facilitated a broad variety of workshops and training programmes and presented at various conferences.

Lesedi Makhurane has been a lecturer at Stellenbosch Business School and Wits Business School and is currently Head of Organisational Development at the University of Cape Town. Since 2004 Lesedi has taught and assessed Coaching & Mentoring students at Certificate, Diploma & Masters levels here and abroad. Lesedi has consulted to many clients in various sectors over the years, both in South Africa and internationally. Some of his clients include large corporates, municipalities, universities and government departments. He also works with communities, couples, Politicians, Teachers; learners, youth at risk, Child Care workers,
civil servants, nurses, secretaries and sports teams.
